Since moving to Oatley 32 years ago, Anne has been actively involved in community campaigns, including saving Oatley Bowling Club site for community use and volunteered with Bushcare, Streamwatch and RiverHealth Monitoring.
During her time as a Hurstville councillor (2008-12), she fought to save community halls and pushed for improved stormwater drainage management, financial reporting, governance and public accountability processes, such as anti-corruption measures.
She continued to take an interest in council matters and now wants to ensure the new council gets off to a good clean start. With 4 years’ councillor experience she’ll be a stronger voice for the environment and community, not developers. She will continue campaigning to keep public land in public hands, protecting urban bushland and waterways.Facebook
