Greta Werner is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology and Social Policy at The University of Sydney. Her current research examines the social and economic processes that inform urban development, including transport and residential infrastructure.Greta has been working to keep Barton Park and Landing Lights Wetlands accessible to the public, and to stop overdevelopment in the Arncliffe and Banksia Priority Precinct areas. Her work with Primary Ethics, as an ethics co-ordinator since 2011, forms part of her contribution to the local community. Greta wants to bring a balanced approach to local development, prioritizing the needs of residents and insuring that the next generations can continue to enjoy our green spaces into the future.
