Bellevue Hill – The Greens, as we have before, will protect the harbour from any mega marina proposal at Rose Bay and will work with the community to deliver community gardens, safe bike paths and leafy green local parks.
Cooper – Halt overdevelopment at the border with Waverley Council and safeguard the unique heritage of Woollahra. The Greens will deliver on the Queen St Masterplan to refresh this local precinct while preserving and enhancing Woollahra’s historic high street.
Double Bay – The Greens consistently respect our planning controls as endorsed by the community and will only support development within council’s four storey height limit. The Double Bay village has been damaged by recent high-rise overdevelopment, creating overshadowing and wind-tunnels. The Greens will stand by the community to deliver a vibrant village in the heart of our municipality.
Paddington – The Greens consistently stand up for heritage and believe every inch of fabric in Paddington deserves protection. The Greens led the campaign to retain the maximum 9.5 meter height limit in Council’s new LEP and are working to strengthen controls for modern infill developments to achieve design excellence in the prized Paddington Heritage Conservation Area.
Vaucluse – The Greens will protect public open space and oppose the NSW Government’s plans to turn Gap Park into a wedding factory.
