I’m a long term resident of Stanmore Ward. I’m a dedicated community activist with a proven track record, keen to make our community a better place. I’m committed to finding beneficial solutions to the affordable housing problem in the Inner West, preserving our local green spaces, and protecting our community against the destructive Westconnex toll road project. As an artist and performance poet, I mentor young artists, curate exhibitions and performance events at local art spaces. I am passionate about promoting artistic opportunities, our lively nighttime culture, and keeping the local community vibrant.

Since election, I’ve achieved a great deal:

  • strengthened Council’s response on Westconnex and Council’s support for residents opposing Westconnex
  • saved local jobs and local businesses in Sydenham for 600 businesses and over 1000 workers
  • opposed overdevelopment of Carrington Road Precincts
  • supported ongoing protection of our urban forest
  • initiated the creation of EDGE Inner West Arts Festival
  • initiated the Inner West Contemporary Art Prize
  • opposed the fascist Cooks Convicts and exposed the one councillor who supports them
  • improved the safety of our parks for our community
  • improved Council’s management of asbestos removal for the protection of residents
  • sat on Council’s Audit Risk and Improvement Committee to oversee governance of Council projects
  • protected our waterways by banning all single use plastics in council events – bags, cutlery, plates, cups, straws, balloons
