Manly is the best place in the world to live. I love our vibrant sporting community, our pristine and world famous beachfront, outdoor surf culture and our wonderful bushland.
Having many interstate friends and family, I am always stoked to take them for a walk to Shelley Beach or the Spit walk, to go for a surf or take them out for dinner at one of our favourite local spots.
As a Greens member, I am passionate about keeping my community beautiful. I joined the Greens because I care about our ocean health. I want to reduce the amount of waste and plastic in the ocean and take action on climate change, which is causing the ocean to become more acidic, causing coral bleaching and also making some species to migrate and in some instances risk becoming extinct.
I’m passionate about giving back to the community and bringing people together. As a legal practitioner assisting immigrants from across Asia and the Pacific and having worked in regional Australia helping Indigenous women, I’ve seen how governance, from all levels, can directly impact the local community.
I love being an active resident, whether it is BBQ duty at the Manly AFL footy club or cleaning up plastic with one of our environmental groups. Living in Manly, I’ve come to appreciate and respect our own unique culture and how good it feels to be a part of our community. I love our sporting community, our outdoor lifestyle, our small businesses and our pristine coastline. This is why I’m standing for Manly. I want to be a representative that is immersed in our community and truly appreciates our distinct and unique village culture. I aspire to make meaningful and well thought decisions that protect our environment and enhance our local village feel in the Northern Beaches.
