Toni Wright-Turner brings to her role as Bellingen councillor a wealth of skills, life and work experience, and strongly held values. She has worked as an educator for 40 years, including as a school principal. Her central concerns relate to caring for our community and our environment.

Toni’s vision for Bellingen Shire is one of a healthy, balanced, inclusive community, in harmony with the rich biodiversity of the region. She believes this can be created through an active and equal partnership with the traditional owners, the Gumbaynggirr Nation so our Shire can achieve sustainable, regenerative, and resilient development. She promotes consultation and collaboration with the local Gumbaynggirr Elders and community, the growth of renewable energy generation, quality education and health services and local food production.

Toni is a positive and active Bellingen councillor, firm in her convictions, and a supportive team member.
