I will answer your questions, listen to your concerns and return your phone calls and emails. I will actively seek community opinion on major issues under consideration and listen to everyone – not just to the loudest or most powerful voices. Bringing my passion for justice and my advocacy experience, I will be a true representative voice, arguing your causes and for your rights.
During my first term I will aim to:
- Increase the notice for community input and webcast public access – more people should be encouraged to have their say,
- Ensure any rate rise is minimal, justifiable and supported by a majority of residents, and
- Take issues of community concern to Council staff and to meetings if necessary for review and discussion.
