I’ve lived in the Randwick Council area for the last 11 years. I’m a keen bodysurfer and cyclist, poor football player and the proud father of 2 little girls.

On council, I want to make our street and neighbourhoods more pedestrian friendly – beautiful and walkable, improving facilities in parks and playgrounds and keeping them accessible for all.

I’m tired of corporations like Meriton or Suez taking residents’ amenity in the south ward for granted.  I’m tired of our state government thinking Port Botany is an appropriate place for a cruise ship terminal, or that our Public Housing should be dismantled. South Ward deserves better.

We need more reliable public transport options for Malabar and Matraville.  We need a plan for reducing the congestion at beaches on summer days.  Our village centres need to be vibrant places for people of all age groups to spend time.

Supporting our many local sporting clubs is a key priority – we can do much more to ensure our amatur sporting clubs have access to the very best council facilities to train, play and win in Randwick, and to ensure the use of council land benefits as many residents as possible.

As a councillor I will be supporting residents and businesses to take steps to use renewable energy and adopt environmentally sustainable practices.  This is important on a local level – we can all make a difference – and I am committed to make positive change on a community level, and continuing the Sustaining our City program in Randwick.

Greens Councillors are accountable to you and to our community – we are not beholden to developers or corporate interests, meaning we can truly represent you and your needs.
