Queanbeyan River and escarpment

June 5 is World Environment Day, a time to reflect on the natural world that sustains us and to renew our commitment to protect it.  This year also marks the start of a decade to focus on restoring ecosystems. Nature provides many free services for people. When the environment is in poor health, we all suffer. Greens candidate for QPRC, Katrina Willis, spent time on World Environment Day walking the path that runs along Queanbeyan River. She snapped this photo looking toward the escarpment which is part of wildlife corridor. Greens on council will work to protect and restore our local environment so it can sustain generations to come.
