The Hills Shire lacks a visual arts, performing arts and cultural centre that many of our surrounding neighbours enjoy.
Blacktown, Hornsby and Hawkesbury all have vibrant, thriving arts centres offering art exhibition space, workshops and art making education and facilities, performance spaces, and a place where indigenous people and other communities can come together to share and showcase their cultural art.
There is a 20 year plan for the Hills Showground but as of yet nothing exists to foster art and performing arts in the Hills. We will provide grants to budding local artists to ensure we can build a more vibrant arts culture in the Hills Shire.
