Everyone’s voice matters. We’ll engage in active consultation where the community can come together to really have a say about services, how our money is spent, and what the future of the Hawkesbury will be.

On Council, we will:

  • Hold regular public meetings across the Hawkesbury to discuss local issues
  • Make sure Council is a clear, prompt, respectful and responsive communicator
  • Refocus on Council’s role as a service provider for our community
  • Ensure integrity and transparency in all facets of Council’s work
  • Worry less about social media and more about real social engagement
  • Reinstate advisory committees, so Council decisions are informed by experts and people with lived experience
  • Make sure decisions about expenditure, projects and public land are made in public, with information easily available

Our plan starts with a vision to make our community a leader in climate action. It includes a plan to stop overdevelopment, care for people and invest in our parks and greenspace.
