Better Roads

Our roads have really suffered during repeated natural disasters. We need to focus on getting them back up to standard.

On Council, we will:

Employ local road crews to keep jobs local, get roads back up to standard and repair them faster following disasters
Increase traineeships and apprenticeships to increase our workforce and skills base
Prioritise roads based on condition, need and use
Insist on high quality repairs and betterment to make roads safer and more resilient
Advocate for more funding and faster, high quality repairs that last on state-owned roads.
