Our roads have really suffered during repeated natural disasters. We need to focus on getting them back up to standard.
On Council, we will:
- Employ local road crews to keep jobs local, get roads back up to standard and repair them faster following disasters
- Increase traineeships and apprenticeships to increase our workforce and skills base
- Prioritise roads based on condition, need and use
- Insist on high quality repairs and betterment to make roads safer and more resilient
- Advocate for more funding and faster, high quality repairs that last on state-owned roads.
