On Albury Council The Greens will tackle the cost of living crisis by:

  • Increasing support for and expansion of council-run early childhood education
  • Making pool entry free during school holidays
  • Making pet desexing free for concession cardholders
  • Extending opening hours of community centres and libraries
  • Broadcasting of major sporting and cultural events for free at public venues
  • Reducing fees for community groups and not-for-profit organisations to hire council-owned buildings
  • Supporting sharing economy initiatives where household items can be accessed for free, such as:
    • Toy Libraries
    • Tool Libraries
    • Repair Cafes
    • Clothing Swaps
  • Supporting community gardens
  • Supporting free community sport and recreation initiatives, such as Park Run
  • Providing free period products and sunscreen in public toilets
