Free Pool Entry Days for Inner West Aquatic Centre
Do you think Council should investigate a trial for free pool entry at Inner West Aquatic Centres?
At the February Inner West Council meeting, the Greens moved that council explore options for providing free pool entry days at Inner West Aquatic Centres. Labor used their majority in the chamber to block this motion. In a cost of living crisis, as we all suffer increasing heatwaves, it’s a no-brainer that people should have the opportunity to cool off at our aquatic centres for free.
Other Councils such as Snowy Valley and Tamworth have undergone free pool entry trial periods to great success, and most recently Lane Cove Council voted unanimously to explore one themselves.
