Hello, I’m Sujan Selven,
I am standing for election because the forthcoming Cumberland Council needs representation from the Greens. Our collective efforts can ensure that the Cumberland Council operates ethically, respects the opinions of its residents, safeguards our green spaces, and advocates for sustainable development.
There is a reason that Greens councillors are usually re- elected after the residents observe how differently our members work compared with other parties.
We need a local government that is ethical, transparent, and inclusive. It’s vital that the council provide community spaces for organisations and community events. Council should be acting on clean energy initiatives for the whole area, and supporting more affordable housing schemes.
In the past, I had the honour of being the Greens’ state candidate for the State seat of Prospect. With your support, I can be the first Greens councillor in Cumberland to represent you. I invite you to cast your vote for a clean, Green council. My team and I are committed to working relentlessly for you.
