You deserve a council that advocates for the inclusion of all voices. Young people are underrepresented at all levels of government, despite being the future leaders of the Hawkesbury.

Young people have continuously highlighted a lack of mental health support, activities, employment opportunities, social isolation and inadequate transport as points of concern.

On Council, we will:
  • Create a youth consultation and participation strategy,
  • Create a Youth Council that will afford young residents the opportunity to directly influence the decisions that impact you, ensuring future generations inherit a Hawkesbury built for your future.
  • Put intergenerational equity at the heart of our decision making,
  • Include young people on all Council committees.
  • Create dedicated youth spaces to provide young people with safe places to socialise, organise activities and congregate.
