I’ve lived in the Inner West for 25 years, I work at the University of Sydney and study postgraduate Urban Planning. I am pleased to be part of an inclusive, caring, and progressive community. Our Council should be like us. With our area changing rapidly, its vital that you have a voice – let’s work together to protect what we love about the environment and culture of the Inner West. On council I will ensure change is driven by and for our community, not developer profit.

Liz Atkins, 2021 Greens candidate for Damun (Stanmore) Ward, Inner West Council

Liz Atkins

Councillor for Inner West Council – Damun (Stanmore) Ward

I have lived in Damun Ward, where I brought up two sons, for the last 16 years. I’m a lawyer and I’ve been an active campaigner and volunteer in the LGBTIQ+ community for over 2 decades. I’m running for Council because local government is where we can influence what happens in our community. Our community should be diverse and connected, somewhere that everyone can find a place to live close to work and study, feels safe and doesn’t have to look too far for interesting things to do.
