Inner West Council
candidate for Inner West Council – Djarrawunang (Ashfield) Ward
I’ve lived in the Inner West for 25 years, I work at the University of Sydney and study postgraduate Urban Planning. I am pleased to be part of an inclusive, caring, and progressive community. Our Council should be like us. With our area changing rapidly, its vital that you have a voice – let’s work together to protect what we love about the environment and culture of the Inner West. On council I will ensure change is driven by and for our community, not developer profit.
candidate for Inner West Council – Midjuburi (Marrickville) Ward
I’m passionate about our environment, local democracy, social justice and building a strong and vibrant local community. I know and love the Inner West, enjoy the diverse and friendly community, the arts and creativity, beautiful Cooks River and parklands, live music, cafes, bars and restaurants. I’m hoping for your support to be your progressive Greens voice on Council. Together we can make the Inner West an even better place to live, work and play.
candidate for Inner West Council – Baludarri (Balmain) Ward
I’m a long term local resident, a mum to three young kids and a passionate activist. Many of us have found ourselves spending more time in our local neighbourhoods, and it has made it even more apparent how important it is to have access to green spaces, to have well maintained footpaths and bike lanes, and for our local high streets to be thriving community hubs. That’s why I’m running for Council.
candidate for Inner West Council – Damun (Stanmore) Ward
I have lived in Damun Ward, where I brought up two sons, for the last 16 years. I’m a lawyer and I’ve been an active campaigner and volunteer in the LGBTIQ+ community for over 2 decades. I’m running for Council because local government is where we can influence what happens in our community. Our community should be diverse and connected, somewhere that everyone can find a place to live close to work and study, feels safe and doesn’t have to look too far for interesting things to do.
Cr Marghanita Da Cruz
candidate for Inner West Council – Galgadya (Leichhardt) Ward
For over 20 years, I have championed Bushcare, Water Sensitive Urban Design and Heritage in the Inner West. It has been an honour to represent the Galgadya (Leichhardt Ward) since September 2017. With your support, during a second term I would work on rebuilding the Council’s relationship with the community, improving transparency and incorporating affordable, sustainable housing into Council’s property portfolio.
