Thanks to everyone who spoke with us at Braidwood on Saturday. There were only a few traders and visitors to the markets so Katrina also spent time visiting local traders in Wallace St.
Some of the earlier issues came up in conversation including condition of local roads and the main street, affordable housing and lack of a Braidwood representative on the council. Other issues included the desirability of having an indoor public pool and a few more indoor activities for smaller children for the colder months. Also raised were safety fencing for the upgraded playground (being so close to a busy road), adding recycling bins to the town centre (makes sense as they are now available in Queanbeyan and Bungendore) and a proposal for a walking and / or cycling trail along creeks and Commonwood Farm.
