Jennie Fenton

Councillor for Bellingen

I am running for a third term on Council. Across the previous eight years, I have championed a lot of progressive outcomes in the Shire.

We have all seen the world become more divided along lines of race, religion and other beliefs. We know there are better ways of collaborating with First Nations' people, with neurally and physically diverse people, and with those with different belief systems.
I love the Bellingen Shire area and its people and I am committed to another four years of representation. I bring extensive State and local government experience, with environmental science qualifications and experience, focussed on water and waste management.
I will continue to actively contributed to achievements in community building, environmental and economic sustainability (including climate action and infrastructure renewal), social wellbeing (especially around disability advocacy, First Nations' justice, local food and housing), democracy and engagement, and strategic thinking.
My work in championing action, relationships, and good governance in Council is not over. There is still work to be done.
