Jingi Walla! I'm Deputy Mayor and have served on Byron Shire Council since 2016. I'm asking for your support as both a mayoral and councillor candidate. With over seven years on council, I have the skills and experience to fulfill the role of Mayor, keeping our communities interests and Green principals at the forefront.

As a long-time feminist and activist, I've fought for equality, media freedom, environmental protection and restoration, and improved public spaces among other things. Our community is experiencing the pressure of popularity and I'm focused on providing secure, affordable and stable housing. The needs of our most vulnerable are a priority.

I'm committed to being a strong and effective advocate, focusing predominantly on protecting and enhancing the environment, solutions to the housing crisis, river and wildlife restoration and championing the voices of youth and those impacted by the floods. I am passionate about the arts, seeing it as a key part of the fabric of our community and believe everyone should be able to participate in the natural and cultural life of this precious region.
