Your vote for a Greens councillor is a vote for: Ensuring affordable housing and reducing homelessness; Accountability, community consultation and transparency in decision making; and, Environmental sustainability and grassroots democracy.
My top priority as your Eurobodalla councillor is to ensure affordable housing and address homelessness. Without affordable housing local businesses and services cannot retain staff. Without affordable housing local people are susceptible to unemployment, poverty, and related mental health issues.
My professional background is as a psychologist in Community Services for over 20 years. I've worked with families, children, young people and older people including in Multicultural and Indigenous organisations. I'm proud to have chaired a housing organisation for most of that time.
I will draw from the Greens proven environmental track record to protect the natural beauty and amazing biodiversity of our beaches and forests. Together we can implement effective climate action by maximising renewable energy, supporting nature based tourism and ending native forest logging.
As your local representative I will continue the Greens legacy of championing for the community since 2012. Eurobodalla Greens Councillors Gabi Harding, Pat McGinlay and Deputy Mayor Alison Worthington have worked tirelessly to ensure progressive sustainable policies are implemented.
