The Greens want to ensure Sydney is a city for everyone, not just the rich.
Sydney has become more unequal. As developer and investor profits have skyrocketed, housing in our city has become even less affordable and secure for renters, students, casuals and people on low incomes.
Too many spaces in our city are inaccessible to people with disabilities, police violence and harassment pushes vulnerable people further towards the margins.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Council has the resources and power to take bold action to tackle the housing affordability crisis and make our streets safe and inclusive. We can make sure our public spaces truly belong to everyone, that we recognise we are and always will be an Indigenous place, and that we celebrate a diverse and shared history.
