Caroline Atkinson

Candidate for Ku-ring-gai Council - Roseville Ward

On council the Greens will be the voice to represent the values of our community. We can develop much needed affordable housing in Ku-ring-gai without destroying its character and green spaces.

Ku-ring-gai council needs to work with the community rather than big developers. We need to protect our unique bushland, including the Blue Gum High Forest, from encroaching luxury housing.
Ku-ring-gai has been my home for more than 15 years; I have a deep affinity with the area.
As a Roseville Councillor I will use my experience as a company director, as chair of an environmental advocacy agency and as a small business owner to advocate for the Ku-ring-gai community and for our environment. As councillors the Greens team will:
- Work to build some affordable housing which helps our community rather than more mansions and poorly designed blocks which benefit only a few;
- Push to remove synthetic turf to protect the local environment and make Charles Bean Oval a safe resource for all;
- Strive to preserve for our beautiful bushland and open spaces.
