Ismet Tastan

Candidate for Inner West Council – Baludarri (Balmain) Ward

Our community is a fantastic place to live and work. I am passionate about protecting what is special about it and making it even better.

I am a carpenter and a successful small business owner. I’ve lived locally with my wife and our two children for over 20 years. I have been involved in a range of community organisations including 7 years as a volunteer coach at Balmain District Football Club.
I have served on several state government committees providing advice to Multicultural NSW and NSW Health. I am a leader in the Kurdish community promoting cultural activities and advocating to the government including meeting with MPs of all parties.
I am proud to be standing with Shelley Booth, who is a public policy and advocacy specialist with the peak organisation representing domestic and family violence services in NSW, and a consultant to the United Nations agency UN Women.
I am so plessed to have the support of Kobi Shetty MP and Jamie Parker. I look forward to your support.
