As a Greens councillor since December 2021, I've worked to protect nature and conserve local heritage, to improve Council's climate action, and to deliver an affordable housing strategy.

I've advocated for smaller communities so their voices are heard and interests addressed, and supported local arts and culture. I've worked with other progressive councillors to achieve change. Sometimes, I have been a lone voice standing up for community interests and Greens values.
I am seeking a second term to build on these achievements. to cut greenhouse emissions faster, invest in sustainable transport, improve resource recovery, extend cat containment across our council area and secure a better financial deal for local councils and communities.
Queanbeyan has been my home since I moved here to work as a journalist in the Australian Parliament in 1991. I joined The Greens 24 years ago, after seeing Greens senators at work, and later, I became an adviser to Christine Milne, Bob Brown and Kerry Nettle, including two years based in Hobart. I also worked on environmental issues in the Australian Public Service for 18 years.
I value living close to nature, the character of our country towns, villages and rural districts, and the strong sense of community within them.
