Protect Grassy Head Picnic Area
Residents enjoy the Grassy Head picnic area because of its low-key natural appeal. We strongly oppose Council's plans to construct plastic and metal structures within the picnic area.
We the undersigned ask Kempsey Council to do the following:
- Replace damaged bollards at the car parking areas.
- Install 2 BBQ areas in the picnic area and locate wooden seating and tables nearby.
- Install a new outdoor shower near the entrance to the beach.
- Rehabilitate the areas damaged by heavy machinery.
These plans have been developed without community consultation.

WE’RE CAMPAIGNING FOR…
Protecting our Environment
Greens Councillors have a long history of standing up for the environment – often when nobody else will.
Tackling the Housing Crisis
The housing crisis is breaking people, and governments at all levels are tinkering around the edges instead of making the big changes we need to address housing affordability.
Bringing Down the Cost of Living
We are in a cost-of-living crisis, and local governments should be doing what they can to ensure that everyday people can afford to get by.
TOGETHER, WE’RE POWERFUL.
People want strong action on the cost of living and climate crises, and a council that represents their values.
Unlike Labor and the Coalition, we don't take corporate donations. The Greens are powered by people like you.
