George Benedyka

Candidate for Wagga City Council

George was born and bred in Wagga and attended local schools. He was also involved from a young age in the Scouting movement, and he went on to be awarded the highest honours of Queens Scout and the Baden Powell award. He retired from work following a career as a project designer with the roads authority.

George wants people power to be the basis for local decision-making.
Since retiring George has joined the Wagga City Rugby Male Choir, is a member of a book club, volunteers for OzHarvest, is a member of Wagga Wagga Demonstration Gardens, Permaculture Riverina Inc, and Wagga Urban Landcare, and enjoys cycling on the City's bike paths.
George is a trained mentor and has many years experience as a mentor for high school students. He is a father and grandfather, and would like to be on Council to help make Wagga an even better place for future generations.
