Candidate for Bayside - Ward 1

I am a member of the young greens studying at the University of Technology, who has been part of many campaigns through my teen years as an activist for queer rights, climate and Indigenous justice.

I believe all of these issues mentioned continue to impact us, in every aspect of life, and we have a duty to do all we can from a local level by building a stronger community around us.

I have grown up in the Bayside suburb of Eastlakes my whole life, and I have witnessed many changes to the area, know the people well, and have discovered how these changes have impacted certain cultural or age groups.

As a Greens member on council, I would ensure that I platform and give voice to the marginalised communities in Bayside who need it, while working on solutions who leave no one behind. I believe in taking down the colonial and capitalist machine, one that continuously fuels the political war against ordinary people.

I would campaign against the privatisation of council lands, promote active and climate friendly forms of transport over car-centric infrastructure, and discuss further ways where council could showcase diversity within the Bayside area.

As the Ward 1 candidate, I hope to bring a new way of thinking to Bayside one that will lead us to a more sustainable and equitable future!
