I’ve lived here on Darug land in the northern, bushland area of the Hills for the past 38 years. As a veterinarian with two young daughters and a love and respect for wildlife and nature, I know how crucial it is to protect our environment and secure the safest possible climate future for our community, now and for generations to come.

People need natural green space for mental health and wellbeing and I will fight to protect Fred Caterson Reserve from inappropriate overdevelopment. Crown land should be there for the entire community to use, not leased to a private club.

Greens on Council will drive a change in local Government towards being more transparent, inclusive and focused on protecting our bushland and green spaces. Developer interests, private corporations and a dominance of one political party on the council which does not represent the diversity of residents in The Hills.

I have been a resident of the Hills Shire North Ward for over 17 years, actively engaging in community volunteer work and contributing to various local initiatives. As a cancer researcher, I understand the vital connection between our health and environment. Our well-being is intrinsically linked to the quality of our surroundings, and maintaining a healthy environment is essential for leading healthy lives.
